Robert Clack School of Science is producing doctors of the future, with eight pupils securing a place to study medicine come September.
These bright students include Jola Bytyci, who will be heading to Oxford after getting three A* grades. While two pupils with A*AA grades, Ruth Addo-Boadu and Tahani Dahir, will be going to University College London and Kings College London respectively.
Other top achievers comprise of Amira Kazi, who will be studying English language and literature at Oxford after getting A*A*A, Paige Harris, whose A*AA confirmed her a place to study liberal arts at Kings College London, and Alfie Pogmore, who got A*AA and is heading to the University of St Andrews to study physics.
This Dagenham School has more than 100 pupils who have secured their places at top universities, with other pupils being accepted onto apprenticeship programmes as a result of their performance.
82 per cent of all grades at Robert Clack School were A* to C, with 22 per cent at A* to A.
Nearly half of those studying BTEC’s were graded distinction* or distinction.
Deputy Headteacher Richard Spandl said “These outcomes are a result of seven years of hard work from the pupils, teachers and their parents.
“The pupils have shown tremendous resilience throughout their time in sixth form and we couldn’t be more proud of them. They thoroughly deserve the successes they are enjoying today.”
Headteacher Russell Taylor added: “Despite the challenges of new curricula, our students have fulfilled their potential through hard work, dedication and the outstanding support of their teachers.
“I am, as always, exceptionally proud of all of them and can only imagine how proud their families must be.”
